Bernhardt Elected Chairman of Burgess & Niple
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Burgess & Niple, Inc. (B&N) has elected a new Chairman of the firm’s Board of Directors.
Mark E. Bernhardt, PE was elected Chairman by the firm’s shareholders on July 12, 2017. Bernhardt succeeds Ronald R. Schultz, PE, who has held the position of Chairman since 2003. Schultz will retain his position as B&N President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Mark joined B&N in 1997, became a Shareholder in 2010, and has served four terms on the Board of Directors. He currently serves as Director of the Transportation Division in the firm’s Columbus office and is a nationally recognized bridge evaluation expert.
Mark attended Purdue University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in 15 states. His varied career also includes providing Congressional testimony on bridge safety, and presentations on inspection, testing, logistics, unmanned aerial vehicles, and bridge access.
