The Cincinnati Department of Transportation and Engineering (CDOTE) selected B&N to inspect and assess two post-tensioned structures. Both bridges are integral parts of downtown Cincinnati’s infrastructure. Non-destructive testing and invasive testing were performed on both structures. Testing included borescoping of the post-tensioned (PT) tendons, corrosion rate and GPR.

Detailed narrative reports, along with supporting photographs and testing documentation, were provided to the city. Detailed rehabilitation and maintenance recommendations, including estimated construction costs for this specialized work, were also developed. Based on field investigation testing results, CDOTE retained B&N as a partner to develop rehabilitation plans and specifications and to further refine the estimated construction costs.

As the project moved to construction, B&N was retained to perform CEI services during the rehabilitation.
