B&N designed and provided construction administration services to rehabilitate a critical 42-inch water main using a long-lasting, innovative approach to support future growth in Mesa. During design, an advanced trenchless method called modified slip-lining was utilized—one of the first applications of its kind in Arizona—installing a new pipe liner within the existing deteriorated PCCP main.
Delivered using a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) approach, B&N collaborated with the City and construction manager during design to support a compressed schedule and provide input on constructability, cost and sequencing. This coordination helped ensure rehabilitation of this critical supply line was completed ahead of peak summer water demand.
Updates to this infrastructure paved the way for Mesa to keep up with population increases in the project area.
