Burgess & Niple Projects and Leaders Recognized at ACEC Ohio Awards

Burgess & Niple is honored to celebrate several achievements recognized during the ACEC Ohio Engineering Excellence Awards last week in Dublin, Ohio. These awards highlight the important work our teams and clients are accomplishing to improve infrastructure and strengthen communities across the state.

The Sugar Creek Water Treatment Plant Renovation for the City of Canton received an Outstanding Achievement Award. This project modernized a critical facility that serves more than 50,000 Canton residents by upgrading aging infrastructure, improving system reliability through advanced redundancies, and incorporating energy efficient technologies to ensure long-term, sustainable delivery of high-quality drinking water.

The Clark Countywide Roundabout Prioritization Study, completed for the Clark County Springfield Transportation Coordinating Committee, earned an Honor Award. This study used a data-driven skim analysis, community input and stakeholder collaboration to evaluate more than 1,000 intersections and develop a balanced, prioritized list of future single lane roundabout locations that improve safety, capacity and funding potential across urban and rural contexts.

Mike Taricska, PE, was also recognized for his graduation from the ACEC Ohio Rising Leaders Program. This program supports professional growth and developing future leaders within our industry. We congratulate Mike on this accomplishment.

These recognitions reflect the dedication of our clients and project teams who continue to advance impactful, community-centered solutions across Ohio.
