Senior Owner Promotions


We are pleased to announce the promotion of Steve Bronzell, Jeff Eilers, Justin Hunt, Kendra Schenk, John Swartzbaugh and Mark Weaver to Senior Owners of the firm. Please join us in congratulating them on this career milestone! 

STEVE BRONZELL, PE 

Steve is the Director of the Florida Roadway Section in Tampa. With 16 years of experience in transportation design and engineering, Steve specializes in innovative and efficient transportation operations and design. He has managed and performed services for a wide range of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) projects and was the Roadway Engineer of Record on the award-winning Ringling Trail project, B&N’s first design-build project with the City of Sarasota and Ajax Paving Industries of Florida, LLC.  

JEFF EILERS, PE 

Jeff is the Director of the Cincinnati Water/Wastewater Section. Recognized for his project management skills, Jeff’s water and wastewater experience includes preliminary investigations, modeling design, sanitary, stormwater and combined sewer collection systems, process design, detailed facility design and construction administration services. During his 21-year career with B&N Jeff has led a wide range of projects and is the Design Manager for the Mill Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant High-Rate Treatment Pump Station Progressive Design-Build project. 

JUSTIN HUNT, PE, CEM, LEED AP 

Justin currently serves as the Virginia MEP Director and Norfolk Office Director. Since joining B&N in 2014, he has coordinated designs for complex renovations as well as new construction for federal, municipal and private sector clients, including NASA and the Department of Defense. Justin’s expertise includes performing studies to evaluate life cycle costs, implementing effective energy conservation measures and providing energy modeling calculations that substantiate the proposed system enhancements.  

KENDRA SCHENK, PE, RSP2I 

Kendra joined B&N in 2014 and is currently a Safety Specialist and Traffic Engineer in the Louisville office. She is nationally known for her extensive safety analysis expertise. This includes systemic analysis for agencies across the country and developing Vision Zero and Safety Action Plans. As a proven implementer of the Safe System Approach (SSA) in planning, policy and infrastructure, Kendra led one of the first Safety Action Plans centered around the SSA in Ohio. She also is a subject matter expert on a Federal Highway Administration task to incorporate the SSA into safety improvement projects and policies. 

JOHN SWARTZBAUGH, PE 

John is the Director of the Collection and Distribution Section in Columbus. He is a recognized regional leader in large diameter condition assessment and sanitary sewer evaluation studies, design of new and replacement sewer and water lines and rehabilitation of sewers using trenchless technology.?His 27 years of technical expertise spans green infrastructure, sewer rehabilitation, stormwater design and water and sewer capital improvement projects.?In addition to his technical capabilities, John excels at communicating complex project information to clients, ensuring stakeholders are informed and confident throughout project execution.? 

MARK WEAVER 

Mark Weaver recently joined B&N as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He guides B&N’s financial strategy, ensuring stability, sustainable growth and long-term value for our clients and employees. Mark is an experienced finance executive who has led diverse teams supporting financial management, controllership, treasury and capital structure management. This includes more than 20 years in financial roles with Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, and most recently, serving as CFO for LeaderPromos Marketing Agency in Columbus.
