B&N Elects New Owner
LOUISVILLE, KY – Burgess & Niple (B&N) is pleased to announce the election of Steve McDevitt, PE to an owner of the firm effective January 1, 2015.
As the Director of the firm’s Louisville (Kentucky) District, Steve’s expertise includes transportation planning and design ranging from rural roads to urban interchanges.
Steve joined B&N in 2006 with the acquisition of Skees Engineering. He currently manages a group of engineers and surveyors who perform a wide range of transportation and utility infrastructure design services. During his 30-year career, Steve has led major highway planning and design projects for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Steve is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in four states. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering, both from Purdue University in Lafayette, Indiana. Steve is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) and KSPE (Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers). He serves on the annual scholarship committee for KSPE and is a board member for the Ogden College of Science and Engineering at Western Kentucky University.
