Burgess & Niple to Acquire Florida Bridge & Transportation, Inc.
We are pleased to announce that on October 1, 2026, Florida-based transportation planning and design firm, Florida Bridge & Transportation, Inc. (FBT), will join B&N. Following the acquisition, which is expected to close on September 30, 2026, B&N will welcome FBT’s staff of 17 professionals. Together, the two firms will expand transportation capabilities across Florida while building on nearly two decades of successful collaboration.
For almost 20 years, B&N and FBT have successfully partnered on transportation projects in the state of Florida. “Together, we have built a relationship grounded in trust, shared values and a commitment to serving our clients. This isn’t the beginning of our relationship, it’s the next chapter,” said Scott Perfater, PE, B&N Southeast Division Director. “This shared history of working together gives us confidence that this new partnership will be a success, and we are thrilled to welcome FBT to the B&N team.”

Founded in 2005, FBT provides structural engineering design and repair for bridges, miscellaneous and general transportation structures, in the state of Florida. Their experienced and talented staff deliver plans and designs that focus on creating safe, enjoyable and convenient transportation structures for every user. FBT currently operates from their office located in Orlando, Florida.
