When faced with a Notice of Violation from the Ohio EPA following sewage overflows into a National Scenic River tributary, the City of Lebanon sought to improve capacity at the Glosser Road Pump Station which receives 80% of the city’s wastewater flow and pumps it five miles to the wastewater treatment plant. The solution includes the rare use of a wastewater booster pump station and a design that maximized storage on site in lieu of extra tankage, while reducing project costs and leveraging available funding.
This presentation will be co-presented with City of Lebanon Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent Mike Trong.

The City of Huber Heights was experiencing an alarmingly high break rate in its 200 miles of cast iron and ductile pipes. Using GIS pipe attribute data and break database paired with state-of-the-art failure forecasting software, the City unraveled the causes and devised a right-sized plan to reduce breaks and provide more reliable service.
Russ Bergman, City Engineer for the City of Huber Heights, will co-present this session.
