Navigating Industrial Stormwater NPDES permits in Ohio, including both individual NPDES permits and the general Multi-Sector General Permit, can be challenging. This presentation will share some basic requirements and provide valuable information for navigation permit requirements, from sampling to the design of best management practices, preparation of a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), and meeting benchmarks. There is not one solution that works for every facility for stormwater management. This presentation reviews several case studies in Ohio and how each addressed the BMPs for controlling stormwater quality and quantity to meet their permit requirements.
