Using Artificial Intelligence to Evaluate Infrastructure Conditions
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as an effective tool to evaluate the condition of storm and sanitary infrastructure. B&N’s AI platform, PipeAIdTM, documents the condition of the pipes and creates a digital twin within GIS. The digital twin then visualizes the pipes’ conditions noting the geospatial location of each observation and stores inspection images and videos to create a central repository for all inspection data. Through GIS integration, pipe inspection results become an easy-to-understand tool that can be used across City departments.
