Many large cities and metropolitan areas have embraced Vision Zero to effectively transform their transportation systems to help ensure safe systems in their communities. Recently, there has been an increase in the number of cities embracing Vision Zero, including smaller communities. However, the development and implementation steps are not common knowledge. This webinar will help address some of the questions related to safety planning, infrastructure and the development and implementation of a Vision Zero Plan.

Vision Zero is a multidisciplinary approach; however, this webinar will focus on implementing Vision Zero principally from a planning and infrastructure perspective. An overview of safety planning for smaller communities, how infrastructure elements such as roundabouts can be a critical treatment to achieve Vision Zero and steps to develop a Vision Zero Plan for a smaller community will be the focus of the presentations.
