Asset management continues to mature as a discipline that helps ensure our water industry optimizes the value of our assets. This is an especially critical area for such an asset intensive industry as ours, and a time when the optimization of our resources is so desperately needed. Effective Asset Management Programs require a sound and effective strategy to achieve budget optimization. This workshop will focus on overview of asset management strategy, alignment of strategy with performance measures and preparing for organizational structure and change management.

This session will provide an overview of some tools that can help utilities make better asset management decisions, and present case studies showing how existing data and field data can be leveraged for powerful decision making. The benefits and costs associated with these efforts will be highlighted.
