This presentation will cover the responsibilities and actions to be taken by the owner, engineer and contractor from the bid opening through the initial phases of construction. Topics to be discussed include review of the bid documents, award of the contract, review of contract documents, closing of loans, and shop drawing/submittal processes. The presentation will be from the general perspective of construction contracts executed by municipalities and publicly owned utilities that incorporate General Conditions published by the Engineers Joint Contract Documents Committee (EJCDC).
