The U.S. EPA’s Integrated Planning Framework provides communities with tremendous opportunity to sequence and prioritize investments. This presentation will cover the key elements of an asset management plan, including service levels, understanding asset condition and risk, and development of an asset register and emergency preparedness plan, the basics of EPA’s Integrated Planning Framework, evaluation of green infrastructure assets, and strategies to address affordability considerations. Green infrastructure and source control present opportunities to reshape, resize and relocate storm water solutions, but when that involves private property owners, there are numerous legal and management issues to consider. This presentation will provide a survey of private property issues in several urban areas utilizing green infrastructure and source control and discuss techniques for managing challenges.
