B&N Civil Engineer, Entry Level Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with civil Professional Engineers and design staff on multidisciplinary civil engineering projects.
  • Support the design and planning efforts for FDOT and municipal clients.
  • Working on a wide range of projects, from exciting and innovative large scale roadway projects to storm water systems.
  • Preparation of design calculations, reports, and cost estimates.
  • Developing engineering drawings utilizing next-generation plans through digital delivery and 3D modeling technologies, and technical specifications.
  • Gain hands-on experience in a collaborative team environment that supports professional growth, champions innovation and technology, and responds to the evolving needs of our clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program and an EI/EIT certification.
  • 0-2 years of related civil engineering experience, prior relatable experience with construction or consulting is advantageous.
  • Co-op/internship experience preferred.
  • Software experience with Microsoft Office and desire to learn or working knowledge of MicroStation (ORD).
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools.
