Burgess & Niple is seeking an experienced and motivated Technical Project Manager to join our Tampa, FL office. This position provides the opportunity to lead the design and delivery of impactful transportation engineering projects for FDOT and local agencies on a diverse range of projects that include resurfacing, complete streets, and intersection safety improvements to larger scale widening, reconstruction, and interchange upgrades.  

B&N Technical Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that exceed client expectations.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering their technical growth and professional development. 
  • Monitor performance indicators, budgets, schedules, and manage risk to ensure successful outcomes. 
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with FDOT and agency standards and project requirements.
  • Support development of strong client relationships.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited Civil Engineering Program 
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Proficiency in transportation engineering design standards (FDOT, AASHTO) required
  • Experience with roadway design software (MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer) required
  • Proven track record of working effectively across teams and presenting technical solutions to clients
