Ready to make an impact on your career, client projects and the community? We're looking for an entry-level Civil Engineer with a structural focus to join our fast-paced team in Painesville, OH working on exciting civil and structural engineering projects.

What an entry level Structural Engineer job is all about:

  • You jump at the opportunity to work with senior structural engineers in the structural design of buildings and treatment facilities, working in conjunction with the architecture and water/wastewater groups at B&N collaborate with Professional Engineers and design staff
  • You prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis, and construction cost estimates
  • Perform construction related services to include shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, perform periodic site visits to observe construction, perform structural inspections if needed.

What you need to make an impact:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program or the ability to obtain in the next 6 months, Spring 2022 graduates are encouraged to apply
  • EIT in the state of Ohio or ability to obtain within 6 months of application
  • 0-5 years experience in the structural design of buildings and treatment plant facilities
  • Experience in the design of masonry, concrete, steel and timber structures is desired.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, REVIT, RAMSteel and STAAD design software is desired. Knowledge of MathCAD, enercalc and other design software is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with clients in either the public or private sector
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, tech savvy that includes the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
