B&N is expanding in the Pacific Northwest and is seeking a motivated Project Manager / Roadway Engineer to lead engineering design teams on transportation infrastructure projects throughout Oregon and the region. In this role, you’ll support projects for the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), local agencies, and other Pacific Northwest clients—while collaborating with some of the top transportation design professionals in the industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced roadway engineer who enjoys leading teams, managing complex projects, and building strong client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of B&N’s transportation practice.

 What You’ll Do

  •  Lead and manage transportation infrastructure design projects, with a focus on roadway, highway, bikeway, and related facilities
  • Oversee design execution while monitoring key performance indicators including budget, schedule, and project risk
  • Ensure high-quality, consistent deliverables through effective quality control practices
  • Mentor and support junior staff, while collaborating with Operations Leaders, Project Managers, and Professional Engineers across the firm
  • Contribute to proposal development, project pursuits, and client relationship management
  • Partner with clients to deliver solutions that meet technical, schedule, and budget expectations

 

 Skills & Qualifications

  •  Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited civil or transportation engineering program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon, or the ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity
  • 10+ years of roadway design and experience leading design tasks or serving as a roadway design lead
  • Knowledge of ODOT design standards is preferred
  • Proposal development and client relationship management experience is advantageous; existing relationships with ODOT or local agencies a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Bentley OpenRoads and/or Civil 3D is preferred
  • Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively using virtual collaboration tools
