We’re expanding our presence in the Pacific Northwest and are looking for a motivated Project Manager / Bridge Engineer to help lead and deliver bridge design projects from our Portland, Oregon office. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with some of the top bridge design professionals in the industry while playing a key role in the continued growth of B&N’s bridge engineering practice in Oregon.

 What You’ll Do

 Manage the delivery of bridge design projects, ensuring a high-quality, client-focused experience for agencies such as ODOT, as well as cities and counties throughout Oregon

  • Lead bridge design and production efforts for ODOT and local agency projects
  • Monitor project performance, including scope, budgets, schedules, and risk management
  • Collaborate with technical experts and project teams across the firm to solve complex engineering challenges
  • Support project pursuits and contribute to proposal development
  • Play a role in shaping B&N’s Bridge Services marketing strategy, with a focus on repeat work and client growth
  • Coach and mentor junior staff while collaborating with licensed engineers firmwide

 Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon, or the ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity
  • 10+ years of related bridge design experience
  • Experience with proposal development and client relationship management is advantageous
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with MicroStation or equivalent CAD software, and bridge design software, familiarity with OpenBridge Modeler is a plus
  • Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively in a virtual and collaborative environment
