We are expanding our team in the Pacific Northwest, and we are looking for a motivated Senior Traffic Engineer to join our team in Portland, Oregon! Come collaborate with some of the top transportation experts in the industry while leading exciting engineering projects such as traffic studies, corridor studies, traffic control design, traffic signal system design, traffic safety studies and traffic forecasts.

B&N Senior Traffic Engineer Responsibilities

  • Engage with the transportation industry to identify marketing opportunities and build strategic business development
  • Collaborate with staff across the firm
  • Develop and mentor traffic engineering staff
  • Create an exemplary client experience throughout the project delivery
  • Monitor performance indicators, deadlines, budgets, schedules, and manage risk
  • Maintain quality control of services and deliverables
  • Promote a positive team environment

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil or transportation engineering program
  • PE registration in the State of Oregon, or ability to be registered with reciprocity, PTOE a plus
  • 10+ years of related traffic design or traffic studies experience
  • Strong interest in transportation engineering and motivated to improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systems
  • Proficient in MS Office and traffic software such as Microstation and/or AutoCAD
  • Experience with Traffic engineering analysis software (HCS, Synchro, Rodel, TransModeler, VISSIM)
  • Great communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
