B&N is looking for a passionate, ambitious Geologist to join our Environmental Section in our Phoenix office. 

B&N Geologist Responsibilities:

  • Support solid waste permitting, planning, and compliance projects.
  • Prepare permit applications, reports, memos, plans, and regulatory submittals.
  • Research ADEQ, EPA, and other applicable regulations, requirements, and guidance.
  • Assist with field inspections, site visits, records reviews, and data collection.
  • Support solid waste planning, benchmarking, rate study, and feasibility tasks.
  • Develop spreadsheets, calculations, figures, exhibits, and summary tables.
  • Coordinate with clients, agencies, facility operators, and internal staff.
  • Assist with proposals, client research, meeting prep, and business development support.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Geology or other related Earth or Soil science
  • Ability to use AI tools responsibly for research, drafting, and data organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to research agency databases, public records, and municipal portals.
  • Experience with solid waste or landfill development is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Bluebeam, or Adobe Acrobat preferred.
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.
