B&N Traffic Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Independently facilitate day-today production of traffic design (signing and pavement markings, signal, lighting, Intelligent Transportation Systems – ITS), and traffic studies
  • Work collaboratively with project and design team to develop and prepare project deliverables to meet project objectives, schedule, and budget
  • Work as part of a project team, collaborating with industry leaders in transportation
  • Engage with the transportation industry in various ways, such as professional organizations, to build strategic business development relationships and identify marketing opportunities
  • Develop engineering skills including traffic design tasks, traffic analysis, and technical skills with future potential opportunities for project management and business development
  • Experience with report writing

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited civil engineering program
  • 4+ years of related traffic engineering design or analysis
  • Engineer-in-Training required, ability to obtain PE registration in the state of Arizona preferred
  • Strong interest in transportation engineering and motivated to improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, familiarity with Microstation or AutoCAD as well as traffic software such as Synchro
  • Experience in preparing traffic studies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
