Burgess & Niple is looking for a detail-oriented Entry-Level CADD Designer to support our growing transportation team in Tempe. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to learn and grow in the field of civil and transportation design.

B&N CADD Designer Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineers to support the development and execution of transportation drafting and design projects
  • Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings using CADD software under the direction of senior designers and engineers.
  • Assist with the 3D modeling of corridors and creation of corridor templates and assemblies
  • Extend your skills beyond Arizona by providing valuable support in project development across various regions
  • Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks on drawings and materials to guarantee accuracy and completeness
  • Participate in training and mentoring to build your technical knowledge and design skills.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Vocational school or associate or certificate in CADD technology, drafting, civil engineering technology, or a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience with civil/transportation CADD drafting
  • Familiarity with at least one CADD platform (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or OpenRoads); willingness to learn new platforms as needed
  • Basic understanding of civil design concepts, especially in transportation.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.
