B&N Civil Engineer Co-op, W/WW Responsibilities:

• Work with experienced engineers on municipal civil engineering projects with an emphasis on water and wastewater public works
• Assist with preparing reports, designs, construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Proactively learn and apply new methods and techniques related to the analysis and design of water and wastewater infrastructure
• Learn various design software packages such as AutoCAD Civil3D and MicroStation Open Roads.
• Gain field experience to inspect, assess and verify infrastructure conditions
• Field work may include short duration data collection of existing infrastructure, documentation of construction activities, and manhole inspection

Skills and Qualifications:

• You are a current student in good standing pursuing a civil or environmental degree from an ABET accredited college or university
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
• Willingness to work in a team setting both in the office and in the field
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Self-motivated, eager to learn, detail oriented and have a positive attitude that is excited to work in a team environment
• Strong organization and communication skills
