Begin your career working with some of the top civil engineering experts in the industry. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Transportation / Bridge Engineer to join our team in West Virginia.

B&N Transportation / Bridge Engineer  Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on plan production to produce high quality plans, specifications that follow agency standards and guidelines
  • Coordinate project drawings using MicroStation, OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD software
  • Complete design tasks, reports, and estimates to create an exemplary client experience
  • Collaborate with engineering staff on technical challenges while adhering to task performance indicators, budgets, and schedules
  • Projects may include bridge, structures, bridge inspection, roadway, traffic, planning, survey, etc. with focus area developing with experience

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent from an ABET accredited program required
  • EI/EIT certification and ability to obtain PE Licensure in 3 years
  • 2+ years of related transportation and/or structures experience
  • Software experience with Microsoft Office, Microstation Open Roads Designer (ORD), and structural design programs
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
  • Ability to work in the field and travel
