Come work with a wide range of professionals at an established A/E firm that value employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Civil Engineer Co-op, Traffic to join our team in our Orlando, FL office.

B&N Civil Engineer Co-op, Traffic Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and learn from experienced professional engineers while serving public clients such as FDOT and local government agencies
  • Assist engineers with developing traffic engineering safety and operations studies: report preparation, condition diagrams, crash diagrams, safety analysis, data collection, field work, and traffic modeling
  • Assist engineers with traffic engineering design projects including traffic signal and signing and pavement markings projects

Skills & Qualifications:

  • You are a current student in good academic standing pursuing a degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program and have completed at least one year of your undergraduate degree
  • Strong interest in developing diverse civil engineering skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • You have a strong interest in traffic engineering
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation a plus
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
