Burgess & Niple (B&N) is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer to lead our launch and growth in Georgia as District Director. Join an award-winning, employee-owned firm ranked among the nation’s top engineering and design companies, and play a pivotal role in guiding our operations, building our team, and expanding our impact throughout the region.

B&N Georgia District Director Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a Georgia business plan in alignment with B&N core values and strategic goals, addressing market needs across transportation, bridge, environmental, and planning services.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent, establishing a robust design and study practice to serve the Georgia DOT, counties, and local agencies.
  • Lead early project acquisition, convert existing client relationships to contract opportunities, and ensure successful project delivery meeting client expectations and financial targets.
  • Collaborate with Southeast Division leadership on office startup, budgeting, and business projections for Atlanta-area operations.
  • Build teaming opportunities with local consultants and agencies; actively network and represent B&N in professional organizations, including a strategic introduction to ACEC Georgia.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
  • Proven success in transportation design, traffic/ITS, bridge, and/or environmental projects
  • Demonstrated leadership in recruiting, team development, and market/business growth
  • Experience managing client relationships and delivering complex projects
  • Ability to lead and supervise technical staff
  • Proven business development experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A positive and an entrepreneurial attitude, self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity, and success
