Burgess & Niple is seeking a Civil Engineer, Entry Level to join our Tampa or Orlando FL office. This position provides the opportunity to work as part of a design team and collaborate with some of the top experts in the industry.

B&N Civil Engineer, Entry Level Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with civil Professional Engineers and design staff on multidisciplinary civil engineering projects
  • Support the design and planning efforts for FDOT and municipal clients
  • Work on a wide range of projects, from exciting and innovative large scale roadway projects to water and wastewater systems
  • Preparation of design calculations, reports, and cost estimates
  • Develop engineering drawings utilizing next-generation plans through digital delivery and 3D modeling technologies and technical specifications
  • Gain hands-on experience in a collaborative team environment that supports professional growth, champions innovation and technology, and responds to the evolving needs of our clients

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • EI/EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months from this application
  • 0-2 years of related civil engineering experience, prior relatable experience with construction or consulting is advantageous
  • Co-op/internship experience preferred
  • Software experience with Microsoft Office and desire to learn or working knowledge of MicroStation (ORD) and/or AutoCAD (Civil3D)
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
