Ready to make an impact on your career, client projects and the community? Burgess & Niple is currently seeking an experienced Traffic Safety Engineer.

B&N Traffic Safety Engineer Responsibilities:        

  • Day to day production various safety and traffic engineering studies such a pedestrian/bike safety, operational analysis, safety screenings, feasibility and capacity studies
  • Mentoring junior staff with oversight from supervisor
  • Preparation, review and/or signing/sealing final study documents
  • Collaborate with other professionals throughout the firm on project pursuits and technical challenges

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program
  • PE registration in the State of Florida, or ability to be registered with reciprocity; PTOE and RSP1 registration is highly desirable
  • 5-10 years of related traffic studies experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Synchro, HCS is required. Experience with HSM, FHWA ICE/SPICE tools is preferred
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
