Collaborate with some of the top transportation experts in the industry, design plans for FDOT projects, and develop and prepare project deliverables. We are expanding our team and are looking for a motivated Designer to join us in either of our Florida offices:  Orlando or Tampa.

B&N Designer Responsibilities

  • Supported and mentored by a team of technical experts and project managers, you’ll design and produce plans for variety transportation design projects for the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)
  • As part of a project team, collaborate on plan production to produce high quality plans, specifications that follow FDOT standards and guidelines
  • Manage and coordinate project drawings using Microstation and other traffic analysis software

Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Associate Degree or college training may be substituted for some, but not all, required experience
  • Minimum of 4+ years of design experience in the industry performing similar work, plus prior CADD experience required
  • Proficient in MS Office, MicroStation or Civil 3D
  • Experience with Visual or AGI32 lighting software, Synchro and/or Vissim, or other traffic analysis software is a plus
  • Good communication skills and detail oriented
