Interested in working with some of the top transportation experts in the industry? Interested in working with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that values employee input and collaboration? We're looking for an experienced Drainage Engineer to join our office in Orlando.

 What you can expect as the major duties and responsibilities:  

  • Develop the drainage design approaches and manage development of the drainage design associated with task work orders resolving historical flooding and roadway improvement projects.
  • Provide design guidance on projects involving floodplain analysis, bridge hydraulics, scour evaluations, revisions to watershed models, and environmental permitting.
  • Develop drainage design documentation reports and technical memorandums.
  • Be the drainage Engineer of Record for municipal and FDOT projects.
  • Participate in preparation of proposals, oral interviews and FDOT LOI’s.
  • Create an exemplary client experience throughout the project delivery.
  • Monitor performance indicators, budgets, schedules, and manage risk.
  • Able to provide guidance and technical oversight to junior engineers and CADD technicians remotely

You may be a good fit if you have these skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program
  • PE registration in the State of Florida, or ability to be registered with reciprocity
  • 8+ years of related drainage design experience
  • Proficient in MS Office including MS Project. ICPR 3 & 4, ASAD, EPASWMM, HEC-RAS, HY8, ArcGIS, MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, Civil3D.
  • Familiarity with FDOT District 2, District 5 and Design-Build is considered a plus.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple project pursuits and design teams
  • Great communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
  • Ability to work remotely based on business operations and the needs of the firm
