B&N is seeking a Roadway Engineer for our recently established Oklahoma office. This experienced leader will work with some of the top transportation experts in the industry to build a successful and growing transportation engineering practice in Oklahoma. 

What you can expect as the major duties and responsibilities:

  • You will have the opportunity to be part of a project team, collaborating and continuing to advance transportation design and analysis skills from experienced civil PEs and transportation professionals
  • Grow and develop your existing toolset with project tasks for preliminary design and production of highway and roadway plans including geometrics, grading and drainage, construction sequencing and traffic control
  • In this role you will prepare construction plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports for highways and interchanges, urban and rural streets, pedestrian, and bike facilities, for ODOT and local governments

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration required
  • 5+ years of related roadway experience
  • Experience leading design tasks or serving as roadway design lead
  • Project Management experience a plus
  • Strong communication skills a plus
  • Relationship with a DOT and local agencies a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microstation and/or AutoCAD software; Knowledge of Civil 3D, Bentley and OpenRoads software’s is a plus
