Begin your career working with some of the top transportation engineering experts in the industry. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Transportation Engineer, Entry Level to join our team in Louisville, KY.

 B&N Transportation Engineer, Entry Level Responsibilities:

  • Participate in delivering professional transportation design services to a wide variety of clients throughout Kentucky and the region
  • Collaborate with Professional Engineers and design staff on solving complex engineering problems
  • Develop roadway design layouts, models, plan sheets, cost estimates, and exhibits
  • Provide support in roadway drainage design
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines as needed to deliver projects


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited program in Civil Engineering 
  • Engineer Intern registration or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Strong interest in transportation engineering and motivated to improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systems
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Familiarity with Autodesk (AutoCAD, or Civil 3D), or Bentley Products (MicroStation, Open Roads) preferred but not required.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
