B&N Environmental Scientist Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ecological field surveys (wetland delineations, stream assessments, and habitat evaluations) and associated WOTUS Report Development
  • Prepare NEPA documentation and supporting studies for transportation and other civil engineering projects
  • Possess strong technical writing skills and have experience writing detailed technical reports
  • Reads, analyzes, and interprets technical procedures, government regulations and industry standards
  • Out of town/state travel could be required throughout the U.S.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in the field of Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, or related degree; Masters degree preferred
  • 3+ years of related environmental/ecological field survey, categorical exclusion,  and INDOT NEPA Document Prep
  • Microsoft Office experience required, prior experience with ArcGIS 
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and traverse uneven terrain
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
