B&N Civil Engineering Intern Responsibilities:

Begin your career working with some of the top civil engineering experts in the industry. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Civil Engineer Co-op to join our team in Indianapolis.

B&N Civil Engineer Co-op Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily inspection efforts on complex and/or diverse projects that require construction experience in roadways, bridges, utilities, grading and/or drainage
  • Monitors work of contractors to ensure quality control and contract compliance for roadway, structure, and bridge construction
  • Provides report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, and quantity of materials received
  • Performs on-site material testing and verification
  • Create and compile close out / final construction records documents for submission
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • You are a current student in good standing pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Willingness to work in at team setting both in the office and in the field
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
