Collaborate with industry leaders and work as part of a project team on roadway design for local and state transportation clients. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Sr. Roadway Designer to join our team in Indianapolis.

B&N Sr. Roadway Designer Responsibilities:

  • Supported and mentored by a team of technical experts and project managers, designing, and producing plans for variety transportation design projects for the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT)
  • As part of a project team, collaborate on plan production to produce high quality plans, specifications that follow INDOT standards and guidelines
  • Manage and coordinate project drawings using MicroStation, InRoads software
  • Complete design tasks and produce high quality plans, specifications, and estimate deliverables to create an exemplary client experience
  • Collaborate with engineering staff on technical challenges while adhering to task performance indicators, budgets, and schedules

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Associates Degree or college training may be substituted for some, but not all required experience
  • 10+ years of design experience in the industry performing similar work plus prior CADD experience, required
  • Good communication skills and detail oriented
  • Software experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation and InRoads, required; Working knowledge of OpenRoads experience preferred
