Come work with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that value employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for for a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Indianapolis office.

B&N Civil Engineering Intern Responsibilities:

  • You will work with experienced engineers on various bridge transportation projects. Project opportunities include bridge design, bridge and culvert hydraulic analysis, and bridge inspection
  • You will assist with investigating existing bridge conditions, preparing construction plans, designing bridge elements, and estimating proposed construction cost
  • You will be expected to proactively learn new methods and technologies

Skills and Qualifications:

  • You are a current student in good academic standing pursuing a degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university and have completed at least two years of your undergraduate degree
  • 0-2 years of related civil engineering experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and MicroStation a plus
  • Structural and hydraulic analysis courses a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
