Bridge Project Engineer

Collaborate with industry leaders, learn from experienced bridge design engineers, and work as part of a project team on bridge design and rehabilitation projects for local and state transportation clients.

B&N Bridge Project Engineer Responsibilities

  • Design bridge projects and/or lead production of design plans for INDOT projects
  • Opportunity to assist with design review, shop plan review and hydraulics
  • Opportunity to work with senior engineers, technical experts, project managers
  • Collaborate with project managers on project pursuits and technical challenges
  • Growth opportunity to transition into project management
  • Possibility to be trained for bridge inspection work across the county for those that are interested in additional opportunities or desire for business travel on occasion

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited program in civil engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Indiana
  • 8 years of progressive technical experience in bridge design
  • INDOT Project experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with Microstation and bridge design software required
  • Strong interpersonal & written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
