Burgess & Niple is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Dallas, TX or Fort Worth, TX office. This position provides an excellent career advancement opportunity to candidates looking to expand their client relationship and business development skills. 

What you can expect as the major duties and responsibilities

  • Actively participate and/or lead in the planning and design of challenging municipal roadways and complete street projects 
  • Typical projects will include road widening, utility coordination and replacement, traffic design, and design of interface with pedestrian and bicycle facilities 
  • Create an exemplary client experience throughout the project delivery 
  • Monitor performance indicators, budgets, schedules, and manage risk
  • Collaborate with other leaders throughout the firm on project pursuits and technical challenges 
  • Opportunity to provide training, coaching, and mentoring for entry level staff

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program 
  • PE registration in the State of Texas or ability to register through reciprocity 
  • 5-10 years of experience related to municipal design experience in the areas of municipal water/wastewater, transportation, and stormwater projects 
  • Strong client management and project management skills 
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
