B&N Engineering Co-op Responsibilities:

NEED 2 CO-OP STUDENTS
  • Be a part of the project team under the supervision of Professional Engineers.
  • Perform sewer manholes and inlets inspections throughout the City of Corry's sewer systems.
  • Apply knowledge of municipal infrastructure in a real-life application of civil engineering.
  • Locating sewer manholes and inlets from existing GIS and mapping, taking pictures using a tablet, recording structure attributes including inverts and pipe sizes/material, and inspecting for infiltration and cracks are the main goals for this work.
  • You will be able to gain both field and office experience.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Current student at an accredited college or university working toward bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Surveying or Mapping.
  • Previous survey experience a plus.
  • Ability to lift manhole covers up to 80 lbs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products required. AutoCAD or ArcGIS experience a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat and work outdoors.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
