We are looking for a long-term business leader for our Dallas and Fort Worth operations with the desire to grow B&N’s transportation and water/wastewater business in the region.  The DFW District Director will oversee both offices for B&N. 

B&N DFW District Director Responsibilities

  • Ensure an exemplary client experience for all clients
  • Track and win new client pursuits and new project pursuits
  • Monitor and meet operational performance indicators, budgets, and goals
  • Manage risk and implement needed actions and process improvements
  • Collaborate with Corporate Leadership, District Directors, and Client Managers to achieve business development, budget, and contract value goals
  • Grow the business, demonstrate skills in leadership, creativity, and foresight
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring for selected key staff
  • Participate in business and community activities to promote B&N
  • Support development of strong client relationships with existing clients and Client Managers
  • Serving as a Client Manager for selected clients directly
  • Participating in strategic business planning, development of client relationship programs or assignments
  • Assessment of new markets, trends, and business opportunities
  • Work with corporate marketing staff to continually refine and improve marketing materials, proposals, and statements of qualification
  • Based on technical experience and abilities, serving as project manager for selected projects

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a civil engineering program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registrations in the State of Texas, or ability to register through reciprocity
  • 15+ years of engineering consulting experience related to group management, project management, and client development
  • Understanding of consulting firm operations
  • Strong understanding of consulting firm operations
  • Strong collaborative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Existing Client relationships in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, a plus

Ownership opportunities are available for the right candidate. Our current District Director is looking to transition into a consultant role across Texas, so strong transition support for this position will be readily available.  This position will report to the Director of the Southwest Region, and collaborate with the District Directors across Texas and throughout B&N.
