Interested in working with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that values employee input and collaboration? We're looking for a Bridge Inspector based out of our Texas, Austin South office or Dallas, TX office.

What you can expect as the major duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform NBIS Element Level Bridge Inspections throughout the state
  • Collaborate with Bridge Inspection Team and assist with the identification of stress related deterioration and physical condition of various structural components and data collection as required
  • Coordinate the inspection schedules and field inspections, in accordance with requirements specified in the Department’s Manual for Bridge and Other Structures Inspection and Reporting
  • Assure that inspection and safety equipment is in good working order and calibrated when required prior to the field inspection. Operate all inspection related equipment as necessary
  • Document inspection findings

What you need to make an impact:

  • High School Diploma
  • 10+ years of related experience with bridge inspection, report writing, and load rating
  • NHI/FHWA Inspection and SPRAT Level 1 certifications are desired
  • The ability and desire to climb large bridge structures, able to withstand high levels of physical exertion including walking, climbing, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 60 lbs. of equipment
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 50%) throughout the U.S.
  • A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history is a must
  • Microsoft Office experience required; Assetwise for Inspection is highly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

Travel arrangements to and from work assignments including airfare, hotel, and meals are reimbursed. All safety training, equipment, tools, and tech are provided.
