Ready to make an impact on your career, client projects, and the community? Burgess & Niple is currently seeking an Entry Level Transportation Planner to join our Columbus OH office.

B&N Transportation Planner, Entry Level Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of transportation plans and studies, potentially including document review, existing conditions assessments, data collection and analysis, traffic analysis, and solution development
  • Work with Professional Engineers and Planners on a variety of transportation projects – including large area and long-range plans, safety action plans, corridor studies, safety studies, and roadway, traffic, and general civil engineering analysis
  • Assist with preparing presentations and writing reports that will communicate planning processes and results to clients and the general public
  • Develop maps and graphics for plans and studies

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Completion of a 4-year degree in Urban/City/Regional Planning, Geography (urban), Sustainable Built Environments, or similar
  • 0-4 years of experience in Transportation planning, Safety planning, or other planning or engineering studies or analysis
  • Proficiency with MS Office and ArcGIS, prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable
