B&N CAD Technician/Designer Responsibilities:

• Support senior engineers and designers with transportation projects in Ohio and support project development in other regions
• Assist with transportation projects with tasks such as design, creation / editing of technical drawings and materials for submittal packages
• Support completion of engineering calculations using Microsoft Excel 
• Support creation of construction specifications using Microsoft Word
• Assist in training lower-level CAD technicians on AutoCAD / Civil 3D, plan production, and best practices

Skills & Qualifications:

• Vocational school or associate degree in related programs preferred. Civil Engineering Technician preferred
• Highly proficient using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and Microsoft Office required
• 5+ years of experience in design/plan development for public agencies, counties and/or municipalities
• Ability or interest to train staff in AutoCAD / Civil 3D design / production a plus
• Ability to take verbal direction and implement into drawings and calculations to produce the final work
• Good communication skills, team player and detail oriented with a strong understanding of design and plan clarity
• Interest in supporting growth of Transportation CADD team as a company resource for roadway and other discipline production efforts
