Ready to make an impact on your career, client projects and the community? Burgess & Niple is currently seeking a Roadway Engineer who is interested in developing relationships with ODOT and leading marketing efforts. Position is located in our Columbus, OH office.

B&N Project Manager / Roadway Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Actively lead projects for ODOT and local agencies, has existing relationships and interest in developing relationships with ODOT and local agencies
  • Lead quality review processes and has knowledge of local and state standards and preferences
  • Lead the design and monitor task performance indicators such as budget, schedule, and risk
  • Maintain quality control of the work product
  • Mentor junior level staff and collaborate with Operation Leaders, Project Managers, and Professional Engineers across the firm
  • Support proposal development and client relationship management with local and state agencies

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil or transportation engineering program
  • PE registration in the State of Ohio, or ability to be registered with reciprocity
  • 5+ years of related roadway design and project management experience. Knowledge of ODOT design standards is a plus
  • Experience leading design tasks or serving as roadway design lead
  • Prior proposal development and client relationship management experience is desirable. Relationships with ODOT or local agencies a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience with Bentley OpenRoads/Civil 3D a plus
  • Great communication and team leadership skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools·
