Join a project team collaborating and learning from experienced bridge design engineers. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Bridge Design Co-op to join our team in Columbus, OH.

B&N Bridge Design Co-op Responsibilities:

  • Work with experienced bridge engineers and detailers on transportation design projects
  • Gain experience with bridge design and rehabilitation projects for local and state transportation clients
  • Be involved in bridge design calculations, bridge load rating calculations, plan preparation, and report preparation
  • Develop design sketches with MicroStation and gain experience with AASHTO BrR

Skills and Qualifications:

  • You are a current student in good academic standing pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Software experience with Microsoft Excel and Word; AutoCAD or MicroStation experience is a plus
  • Strong interest in structural engineering
  • Strong technical skills with desire to learn and develop structural/ bridge engineering skills and gain autonomy as your capabilities progress
