Ready to make an impact on your career, client projects and the community? Burgess & Niple is currently seeking a Roadway Engineer who is interested in developing relationships with ODOT and leading marketing efforts. Position is located in our Columbus, OH office.

B&N Roadway Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a project manager, actively lead projects for ODOT
  • Coordinate with internal staff and developing workload
  • Lead quality review processes ensuring that local and state standards and preferences are met
  • Actively lead and participate in project delivery to create an exemplary client experience
  • Assist with the development and mentoring of junior level staff and help them grow

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program
  • 5+ years of related roadway design experience including prior experience with ODOT
  • PE registration required in the State of Ohio, or ability to be registered through US reciprocity
  • Proven verbal, presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency MS Office, MicroStation or OpenRoads is required
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
