Civil Engineer/Utility Infrastructure

Come work with senior-level professionals at an established A/E firm that value employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Civil Engineer – Utility Infrastructure to join our team in Columbus.

B&N Civil Engineer – Utility Infrastructure Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of EITs and PEs assisting with utility infrastructure design and field services
  • Responsible for design tasks that could include technical design of storm sewers, waterlines, sanitary sewer rehabilitation projects and quantity takeoff with cost estimation
  • Assist with flow monitor installation, data analysis, smoke testing and dyed water testing for municipality and city improvement projects in Ohio
  • Interact with clients, including participation in project meetings

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • EIT or EI with a desire to become a PE
  • 0-5 years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
  • Microsoft Office, Civil3D, and ArcGIS experience a preferred
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and to lift 50lbs
