Burgess & Niple is currently seeking an experienced Traffic Designer, who will be supported and mentored by a team of technical experts and project managers, designing, and producing plans for variety traffic design projects, to join our Columbus, OH office.

B&N Traffic Designer Responsibilities:

  • As part of a project team, collaborate on plan production to produce high quality plans, specifications that follow agency standards and guidelines for signal, signing and striping, and traffic control plans for ODOT and Ohio local governments
  • Manage and coordinate project drawings using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD software
  • Complete design tasks and deliverables to create an exemplary client experience
  • Collaborate with engineering staff on technical challenges while adhering to task performance indicators, budgets, and schedules 
  • Participate in meetings related to assigned projects 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associates degree
  • 5+ years of progressive technical experience in CAD and plan development for transportation engineering design projects
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microstation and/or AutoCad software
  • Experience with Traffic Design software desirable but not required
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
