Join our corporate Marketing and Communications team leading the coordination of planning and logistics for conferences, corporate events, and receptions across the country.

B&N Conference & Event Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Successfully track, plan, manage and execute events on-time and on-budget including planning, booth logistics and equipment requirements.
  • Partner with technical teams, regional marketing staff and corporate communications staff to execute conference event plans for exhibiting conferences in alignment with strategic messages and corporate branding guidelines
  • Partner with Human Resources team to execute firm-wide career fair and recruiting events
  • Work with corporate and executive level staff to plan large internal technical summits, open house events and other meetings and events as assigned
  • Provide input for pre-conference promotions and collaborate frequently with for adjustments to the planning strategy throughout the lifecycle of each event

Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates degree or higher in event management, marketing, public relations, business administration or related field
  • 5 years of event planning and/or related project management experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Adobe Suite experience preferred
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and able to interact with staff at all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, work independently as needed to complete tasks and collaborate with others to achieve set goals
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel at least once per month to event sites within the United States
